We understand Beautiful breasts come in all shapes and sizes not one size fits all.

Breast Augmentation, (also known as Breast Implant surgery) is a surgical breast enhancement procedure that uses breast implants.

You might be considering breast augmentation surgery because you’d like to enhance the look of your natural breasts, correct asymmetry, gain fullness or attain a breast size suitable for your body shape. You’ve likely thought about this carefully, and we’re here to provide support every step of the way.

Incision Type

Our surgeons recommend the ‘Inframammary Incision’. The implant will be placed using a small 3cm to 4cm incision beneath the breast, at the point where the skin naturally folds. You’ll find the scar barely noticeable even just a few weeks after surgery, and with the correct treatment your scar will fade to near-invisible over time.

We will discuss with you the advantages and disadvantages of each incision point, based on your clothing preference, lifestyle, and the size and shape of your implant.

Implant placement

Your breast implants will be positioned in one of two ways: under the pectoral muscle, known as sub-muscular; or over the pectoral muscle, known as sub-glandular. Both placement positions have various advantages and disadvantages.

Our surgeons prefer to place breast implants under the muscle as it provides a more natural look. Your surgeon will discuss which placement method is appropriate for you during your consultation.

Implant size

We use only premium silicone gel implants at Cosmetic Avenue. These have undergone over 30 years of medical research and clinical trials and are considered to be the best in the market. They come in a range of sizes and profiles, giving you the largest choice of breast implants.

Your weight, height, chest shape and size of your existing breasts all impact your final cup size and shape. In fact, you may find a smaller implant will actually result in a more appealing and shapely look. During your consultation, your surgeon will discuss with you the best implant for the final result you desire.

Asymmetry

You may find your natural breasts aren’t exactly the same size or shape. This is extremely common and is known as breast asymmetry. Different sized breast implants can be used to correct these asymmetries and provide a more even look.

Your surgeon will consider the final result you’re after and provide recommendations to ensure you get the look you’ve always wanted.
